Box Score WILKES-BARRE (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College volleyball team wrapped up its 2014 campaign with a 3-1, Freedom Conference setback to host King's College. Set scores were 25-22, 25-22, 18-25 and 25-22 in favor of the Lady Monarchs.
The Aggies, under first-year head coach
Andrea Salazar, finished the season with a 6-21 overall record and on 0-7 mark in Freedom. King's finished 16-11 and 1-6.
Just eight kills separated the two teams (54-46 in favor of King's) while both had five blocks apiece. One difference in the match was service errors as Delaware Valley lost 11 points in this category to just three by the Lady Monarchs.
It was the final match in the collegiate careers of Aggie seniors
Gina Page and
Crystal Ronan and the two stood out on Wednesday evening. Page had 16 kills and 11 digs to up her career totals to 932 kills and 1,267 digs. Ronan had 32 assists, 18 digs and two service aces against King's. She ended her four-year career as the school's all-time leader with 3,351 assists and 299 service aces.
Also for Delaware Valley, freshman
Maria Cameron had 15 kills, 13 digs and two blocks. Fellow rookie
Taylor Klecan added six kills and nine digs.
For King's, Katelyn Shifflett notched 14 kills, 10 digs and five blocks. Jessica Carr added 12 kills while Sarah Busse handed out 45 assists.
