Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Despite taking the opening set 25-23, the Delaware Valley College volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback to visiting Goucher College in a non-conference match. The final three set scores were 25-13, 25-12 and 25-18.
The Aggies dropped to 4-19 on the year while the Gophers upped their mark to 9-18.
In the first set, Delaware Valley senior
Gina Page brought the squad back from down one to up 16-14. Goucher came back to tie the score at 16 before the Aggies pulled away for the eventual 25-23 set win.
From there it was all Gophers as they took the next three sets in convincing fashion and only trailed the Aggies one time at 3-1 in the fourth set.
Maria Cameron paced Delaware Valley with 11 kills and two blocks while Page added seven kills and a team-high 17 digs.
Crystal Ronan dished out 21 assists to go with 15 digs, two kills and two service aces.
Goucher's Kelly Budge and Michelle Tweedie each recorded a match-high 12 kills and Hannah Kuehl added 10 of her own. As a team, the Gophers notched 17 aces as Erika DiPasquale led the way with seven.
