Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College had its best hitting performance of the season as the Aggies cruised to a 3-0, Freedom Conference victory over visiting King's College. Set scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-15.
Delaware Valley improved to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in conference action while the Lady Monarchs fell to 6-5 and 0-2.
The Aggies had 41 kills and just eight errors in 92 attempts for a .359 hitting percentage. They had two sets when they went over the .400 mark and never trailed all evening. By contrast, King's had 18 kills and 19 errors for a negative hitting percentage.
Gina Page paced the Delaware Valley attack with 12 kills while
Janel Gluch, who was honored before the match for becoming the first player in school history to go over 1,000 kills in a career, added nine to her total on Tuesday.
Alyssa Riggins had eight kills and 10 digs while
Destinee Horning finished with eight kills and four blocks.
Crystal Ronan dished out 33 assists while
Teagan McCardle had three kills in four attempts for a .750 hitting effort.
Jessica Carr and Kelsie Kramer had five kills apiece to lead the Lady Monarchs. Mary Loughran finished with 14 assists, nine digs and two service aces.
