Box Score IMMACULATA (PA) – The Delaware Valley College men's soccer team fell behind early, but bounced back strong behind two goals from
Adam Roland for a 3-1 victory at non-conference opponent Immaculata University.
The win improved the Aggies to 4-2-1 on the season while the Mighty Macs dropped to 0-7.
Roland's first goal of the afternoon brought Delaware Valley to a 1-1 tie in the 28th minute as
Dan Mackin struck a free kick from 45 yards out to Roland ,who was able to beat the keeper. His second of the day was also in the first half, this time off a nice feed from
Ryan Brewster that he was able to touch into the back of the net with 6:32 left on the clock. The Aggies owned a 2-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half,
Max Drummond played a long cross into the box to
Jordan Robinson, who converted for the first goal of his collegiate career.
Delaware Valle held Immaculata scoreless for the rest of the contest behind four saves from
Chase Clement. William Hegarty and Joseph Lubonski split time in net for the Mighty Macs.
Both teams had eight shots in the game. Immaculata had four in the opening half, including its lone goal by Luke Santoni just 5:48 into the contest.
