MACUNGIE (PA) – Delaware Valley College's first head-to-head match of the golf season saw the Aggies drop a 309-374 decision to host DeSales University at the Brookside Country Club.

The Bulldogs had the top five finishers (top four make up the team scoring), including Cory Schmidt who led all competitors with a one-over-par 72. Casey Schermick was three strokes behind with a 75.

Kyle Behnert led Delaware Valley with a 15-over-par 86. Ben Stermer was right behind with an 88 while Steve Dosiak had a round of 90. Brittny Buonanno became the first female golfer to compete in Delaware Valley history and she shot a 110 (since she is a member of the men's team, she had to hit from the men's tees). Delaware Valley will have a women's golf team starting in 2014-15.
