DELVAL VOLLEYBALL WINS THIRD STRAIGHT

Box Score JERSEY CITY (NJ) – Delaware Valley College junior setter Crystal Ronan broke a pair of school all-time records as the Aggies notched a 3-0 win at non-conference foe New Jersey City University. Set scores were 25-16, 25-7 and 25-16.

The win was the third straight for Delaware Valley, which improved to 11-12 on the season. The Gothic Knights slipped to 6-20.

Ronan needed one service aces and six assists to become the career leader in both categories and she easily reached those marks as she finished the afternoon with four aces and 21 helpers. Her total of 203 service aces topped the previous mark of 199 set by Andrea Held from 2004-07 while her 2,537 assists bested Laura Moore's 2,522 helpers from 1999 to 2002.

Delaware Valley had 30 kills and just nine errors in 79 attempts for a .266 hitting percentage. Meanwhile, New Jersey City had 24 errors to just 14 kills for a minus .133 mark. The Aggies also had 14 aces and six blocks on the day.

Janel Gluch and Gina Page had 10 kills apiece to pace Delaware Valley. Alyssa Riggins served up six aces and also added five digs and four kills.

Jade medley had eight kills to pace New Jersey City.
