DOYLESTOWN (PA) –
Bobby Sitler's goal 35 seconds into overtime gave Delaware Valley College a 3-2 victory over visiting Rosemont College in a non-conference game.
The win was the second straight for the Aggies as they improved to 3-1 on the season. The Ravens fell to 0-4.
Sitler, a junior in his second year at Delaware Valley, picked the right time to score his first goal in an Aggie uniform. With two defenders around him, he crossed the ball to his left and back to his right before letting a blast go from 25 yards out. The shot found the lower left corner of the net for the win.
Rosemont led 2-1 at halftime thanks to goals by Sergio Martinez and Patrick McElroy. The lone Aggie goal was sandwiched in-between as
DJ Meisinger scored his first tally of the year off an assist from
Jacob Stear.
Stear then assisted on the tying goal just 6:45 into the second half as
Tyler Yankovich racked up his fourth goal of the year. It remained tied until Sitler's heroics in the extra session.
Delaware Valley held advantages of 14-11 in shots and 7-2 in corners.
Chase Clement picked up the win as he stopped four shots. Max McDonald had four saves for Rosemont.
