LATE GOALS GIVES DESALES MEN'S SOCCER 3-1 WIN OVER DELAWARE VALLEY

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – DeSales University scored two goals in a span of two minutes and 37 seconds late in the second half to give the Bulldogs a 3-1, Freedom Conference victory over host Delaware Valley College.

The Aggies (7-7-1, 0-6) opened the scoring with 11:55 remaining in the first half as they were awarded a penalty kick and Tyler Yankovich came through for his ninth goal of the season. It was also his 24th career tally, leaving the senior two shy of tying the school's all-time record.

DeSales (9-5-3, 3-2-1) tied it up just 56 seconds later on a James Roche tally. It remained 1-1 for the next 47 minutes, including a late-game save on a Bulldog penalty kick opportunity by Delaware Valley goalkeeper Chase Clement. However, DeSales' Brandon Moninghoff found the net with 9:59 remaining for the game-winning tally. Tyler Nolan then added an insurance goal on a free kick.

Clement finished with 11 saves in the loss while Colin Sulpizio had nine saves for the Bulldogs, which outshot Delaware Valley 16-13.
