READING (PA) – Delaware Valley College improved to 7-3 on the season as the Aggies went to Alvernia University and swept a pair of non-conference matches. They opened with a 3-0 victory over Immaculata University and followed with a 3-1 triumph over the host school.
In the Immaculata (1-4) match, the Aggies won by set scores of 25-23, 25-22 and 25-23.
Janel Gluch and
Gina Page had 12 kills apiece while
Destinee Horning added nine kills and 18 digs.
Crystal Ronan finished with 33 assists and 11 digs.
Delaware Valley and Alvernia (5-5) split the first two sets with the Aggies taking the first one, 25-18, and Alvernia producing a 25-22 win in the second. Delaware Valley then went on to take the next two sets, 25-14 and 25-2, for the victory.
Gluch racked up 18 kills while Page added 16 kills and 13 digs. Horning finished with 13 kills and 16 digs.
Alyssa Riggins contributed 11 kills and 20 digs while Ronan posted career-bests of 50 assists and 28 digs.
