GWYNEDD VALLEY (PA) – Gwynedd-Mercy College scored less than eight minutes into the contest, en route to a 3-0 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

The setback spoiled the head coaching debut of Tom Drummond. The Delaware Valley graduate and former assistant coach took over the top spot in the program shortly after the 2010 campaign.

Dan Panepresso put the Griffins on the board early off an assist by Christian Pembroke. It remained 1- 0 until Gwynedd-Mercy sealed the contest with a pair of goals in the final six minutes. Tim Sweeney connected off a feed from Trevor Sotell and Tyler Ward successfully converted a penalty kick.

The teams had eight shots apiece. DJ Meisinger stopped three shots in net for the Aggies while Mike Leonard had six saves and the shutout for the Griffins.
