AGGIES ROLL TO 5-1 WIN OVER PHILADELPHIA BIBLICAL

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Tyler Yankovich scored a pair of goals four minutes apart early in the first half to help lead Delaware Valley College to a 5-1 victory over visiting Philadelphia Biblical University in a non-conference game.

The win improved the Aggies to 5-2-1 on the season, including a 3-1-1 mark in their last five games. The Crimson Eagles fell to 2-5.

Yankovich found the net just 9:29 into the contest as the sophomore received a corner kick from Joey Ordile and headed it over Philadelphia Biblical goalkeeper Dave Schaffer. Shortly after, Yankovich took a feed from Tom Antonucci and beat Schaffer to the left side. Yankovich now has three goals on the season.

It remained a 2-0 contest until 9:49 into the second stanza when Antonucci set up Tom Masterson for the junior's first goal of the season. Delaware Valley then added two goals in a 53-second span in the latter stages as sophomore's D.J Meisinger (from Eric Devlin) and Mark McDevitt (from Mike Misinsky) notched their first tallies of the year. The Crimson Eagles avoided the shutout with 1:11 remaining as Samuel Hunter scored his first goal of the season.

Delaware Valley held an 18-10 advantage in shots. Tristan Preece recorded five saves and the win while Schaffer had six stops at the other end.
