DOYLESTOWN (PA) –
Eric Devlin scored a first-half goal and the Delaware Valley defense made it stand as the Aggies downed visiting Goucher College, 1-0, in a non-conference game.
The win was the second straight for Delaware Valley as it improved to 4-1 on the season. The Gophers fell to 2-3.
Devlin took a feed from
Joey Ordile and put the ball past Goucher goalkeeper Joe Kon with 15:46 remaining in the first half. It was the team-best third goal of the year for the junior,
Meanwhile, the Aggies allowed just eight shots and four corners for the entire contest. Junior
Tristan Preece recorded two saves and his third shutout of the year. Kon finished with four stops in the loss.
