DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Brittany Battinieri, Jackie Shunkwiler and Emily Soper each had a double-double to lead Delaware Valley College to a 79-63, non-conference victory over visiting Immaculata University.

The Aggies snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-4 overall while the Mighty Mac had their two-game winning streak halted as they fell to 5-3.

Down 18-11 midway through the first half, Delaware Valley responded with 25 of the game's next 31 points and a 36-24 advantage with 4:04 to go. Freshman Sarah Innerst led the spurt with seven points while Battinieri and Soper combined for 11.

The Aggies eventually took a 44-30 lead into the intermission and build it to as many as 17, 57-40, seven minutes into the second stanza. Immaculata then made it a ballgame thanks to a 12-0 run over a three-minute span.

Delaware Valley responded with back-to-back buckets to make it a nine-point lead, but the Mighty Mac would not go away. They pulled to within four on three separate occasions, the last at 67-63 on a Chrissy Esbensen layup with 4:17 remaining. However, the Aggies scored the final 12 points of the game, including six by Battinieri, for the 16-point victory.
