Women’s Basketball Defeats Lebanon Valley in Overtime Thriller on Senior Day

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Trailing by as many as 16 in the third quarter, the Delaware Valley women's basketball team stormed back in the fourth and overtime to take down Lebanon Valley, 74-72, on Senior Day inside James Work Gymnasium.

After surrendering the game's first bucket, a layup from Ciana Feliciano ignited a 7-0 Aggie run to grab the early lead. Lebanon Valley answered with a late push in the opening quarter and carried that momentum into the second, using a 13-point surge to build a 23-10 advantage. Alexis Lease-Springer snapped the drought with a strong finish at the rim, but the Flying Dutchmen held an 11-point edge at the break, 28-17.

LVC stretched the margin to 16 midway through the third, but the Aggies began to chip away. Whitney Evans poured in seven key points in the frame, and perfect trips to the stripe from Evans and Feliciano trimmed the deficit to 48-35 heading into the fourth.

Feliciano and Aubrey Ennis came out firing to open the final quarter, combining for efficient buckets, including two triples, to pull the Aggies within striking distance. Jayla Rivera and Evans followed with timely shots to make it a one-possession game. With the pressure mounting, senior Alexis Wright delivered in the clutch, scoring nine pivotal fourth-quarter points to give DelVal its first lead since the opening period, 58-57. A late foul sent LVC to the line in the closing seconds, forcing overtime.

In the extra session, the Aggies showed poise. After Lebanon Valley grabbed a brief three-point edge, Ennis buried a clutch three to even the score. The lead seesawed down the stretch before Evans drilled a critical three and converted at the line to keep DelVal level. Rivera and Ennis sealed the comeback with a combined 4-for-4 performance at the free-throw line in the final seconds to secure the 74-72 victory.

Evans led the charge with a season-high 26 points, while Emma Miller controlled the glass with a team-best seven rebounds.

The win caps the 2025-26 campaign for the Aggies at 10-15 overall and 5-9 in MAC Freedom play.
