PURCHASE (NY) – Kenneil Haye scored three goals and assisted on two others as Manhattanville College posted a 7-1 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.
The Aggies wrapped up the 2010 campaign with a 6-12-1 overall record and an 0-7 mark in league action. The Valiants, who will advance to next week's conference playoffs, improved to 10-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the Freedom.
Haye recorded a natural hat trick as she scored three straight goals in the opening 25 minutes of the game. Marco Blasetti added a tally with 12:38 remaining to make it 4-0 and Haye assisted on back-to-back by Chukwueloka Muoka (8:01 remaining) and Anthony Ferraro (52 seconds remaining) for a 6-0 lead at the intermission. Eros Olazabal then scored 86 seconds into the second half for the final Manhattanville goal.
Delaware Valley avoided the shutout with 3:15 remaining as the Aggies were awarded a penalty kick and senior
Tom Antonucci fittingly blasted home his seventh goal of the season. Antonucci transferred to Delaware Valley from Division I Rider University prior to the 2009 season and he concluded his two-year career with the Aggie all-time records for both goals (26) and points (64).
