DOYLESTOWN (PA) – DeSales University's Derek Long scored 3:30 into the contest and the Bulldog defense made it stand for a 1-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

Long took a feed from Sky Rimmele and beat Aggie goalkeeper D.J. Meisinger in the early going for his 14th goal of the season. The two teams then played scoreless ball for the next 86-plus minutes as DeSales improved to 11-4-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the Freedom. Delaware Valley, which dropped its third straight 1-0 conference game, fell to 5-10-1 overall and 0-6 in the league.

DeSales held advantages of 21-11 in shots and 5-3 in corners. Adam Franczak needed to record just one save to earn the shutout. Meisinger, who stopped a penalty shot in the game, finished with five saves.
