EDWARDSVILLE (PA) – Joe Brennan scored two goals and Ed Zulkoski added a goal and two assists as Wilkes University opened Freedom Conference play with a 3-1 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College.

The Colonels (3-7, 1-0) picked up their first two tallies in the final 18:11 of the opening half. Zulkoski successful converted a penalty kick and then assisted on Brennan's first goal with 5:07 left.

The Aggies (5-4-1, 0-1) cut that lead in half just 7:42 into the second half as Tyler Yankovich scored his fourth goal of the year off a feed from Tom Antonucci. However, Wilkes responded just five minutes later as Brennan and Zulkoski teamed up again for the 3-1 lead.

Delaware Valley held an 18-12 advantage in shots. Tristan Preece had two saves in the loss.
