Delaware Valley, which was without the services of three players due to injury - including two who started at some point during the season - jumped out to a quick 7-3 lead in the opening three minutes of the contest.

The Aggies kept fighting and used a 12-5 run, including four by Vennera, to open the second half and pull to within six, 46-40. Later in the half, the Bulldogs' lead went back to double digits, but back came Delaware Valley as

However, Burke scored 11 points as part of 16-6 DeSales run that gave the home team a 70-58 advantage with 6:18 remaining. The Aggies never got closer than 11 points the rest of the way.

Vennera poured in 19 points, leaving the junior just 16 shy of becoming the 11th play in Delaware Valley women's basketball history to reach the 1,000-point plateau in a career. She will have a chance to reach the milestone in Saturday's season finale when the Aggies host Misericordia University. Vennera also had 12 rebounds and three assists in the game.
