MADISON (NJ) – Joshua Corpuz scored two goals and assisted on another to lead FDU-Florham to a 4-1 triumph over visiting Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference match-up.
Corpuz scored the lone goal of the first half with an unassisted tally just over 13 minutes in. The Devils (8-7-1, 1-3-1 Freedom) then scored three times in a 10-minute span in the second stanza to pull away to a 4-0 lead. Corpuz played a role in two of the goal as he assisted on John Gaw's tally with 27:56 remaining, and found the net for a second time just three minutes later. Cory Sneyers ended the scoring for FDU-Florham with 7:45 to go.
The Aggies (6-8-1, 0-5 Freedom) avoided the shutout with 6:31 to go as they were awarded a penalty shot and
Nathan Knight converted for his first goal of the year.
FDU-Florham held advantage on 19-7 in shots and 5-2 in corners. Kevin Herbert was credit with one save and the win while D.J. Meisinger made three saves for Delaware Valley.
