DOYLESTOWN (PA) – King's College scored three times in the first 13 minutes as the Monarchs posted a 5-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.
Joe Bender put King's (10-2, 2-0) on the scoreboard just 3:06 into the contest off a feed from Alex Martino. A little more than five minutes later, Martino set up Bender again for his 13th goal of the season. Alex Henery followed with an unassisted tally at the 12:58 mark for a 3-0 advantage.
King's scored once more in the first half as Rob McGuiness found the net with 3:15 to go before intermission. Martino ended the scoring off a Bender assist with 32:11 remaining in the contest.
The Monarchs outshot the Aggies (6-5-1, 0-2) by a 17-10 margin. Andrew O'Shura and Richard Melber combined for two saves and the shutout.
Steve Richtmyer came off the bench in the first half and finished with five saves for Delaware Valley.
