LANCASTER (PA) – Delaware Valley College outscored host Lancaster Bible College, 46-28, in the second half as the Aggies pulled away to an 84-62 triumph in a non-conference game.
Delaware Valley (5-10) led by just four, 38-34, at halftime and then saw the Chargers open the second stanza with five straight for a one-point advantage.
Jason Seipt drained a 3-pointer for the Aggies on the next possession, and it ignited a 16-6 run that gave them a 54-45 lead with 15:43 remaining.
James Jones had seven points in the spurt while
Mike Williams added the remaining six.
Delaware Valley built the lead up to 15 at the halfway point of the stanza. Lancaster Bible closed the gap to 11, 68-57, with 5:35 to go, but the Aggies notched 16 of the game's final 21 points, including six by Jones.
Jones poured in a game-high 25 points while
Jason Goldheimer came off the bench to go 5-for-11 from 3-point land and finish with 19 points. Williams notched 12 points while
Edward Carter added 12 points and six boards. Seipt contributed nine points, eight assists and seven steals in the win.
Carl Edwards and Billy Harrison were the lone Chargers to hit double figures in scoring as they each had 13 points.
