DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Lancaster Bible College scored four goals in an 11-minute span in the second half as the Chargers downed host Delaware Valley College, 5-1, in a non-conference game.
The game was tied at 1-1 at halftime and stayed that way for the first 19-plus minutes of the second half. Lancaster Bible (3-0) then took the lead for good with 25:16 remaining on an unassisted goal by Marcus Benner. Kyle Zook made it 3-1 with 20:50 to go and Cory Greiser followed a pair of goals just 58 seconds apart (15:01 and 14:03) for the 5-1 finals.
Zachary Kraehmer gave the Chargers a 1-0 lead but the Aggies (1-1) tied it with 19:43 remaining in the first half as sophomore Josh Oman scored his first goal of the season off an assist by freshman Tom Masterson.
Lancaster Bible held a 19-14 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in corners. Delaware Valley's
Tristan Preece made 11 saves in the loss.
