DOYLESTOWN (PA) – DeSales University scored three times in the second half to break a scoreless and notch a 3-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.
The Bulldogs, the three-time defending conference champions, improved to 6-11 overall and 2-4 in the Freedom while the Aggies fell to 3-13-1 overall and 1-6 in the conference.
DeSales hit the scoreboard in the 56th minute as Dustin Sturm connected off a feed from German Reyes. Two minute later, Marc Leonard scored off an assist by Chris Ravita. The Bulldogs made it 3-0 with 15 minutes remaining as David Ackley set up Derek Long for his 10th goal of the season.
Keith Barry stopped two shots to earn the shutout.
Tristan Preece made six saves in 75 minutes while Steve Richtmyer stopped one shot in the final 15 minutes for Delaware Valley.
