READING (PA) – Alvernia University picked up its first Freedom Conference win with a 3-0 triumph over visiting Delaware Valley College. Set scores were 25-17, 28-26 and 25-19.
The Crusaders, who moved to the conference this season, improved their record to 5-13 overall and 1-4 in league action. The Aggies fell to 12-10 overall and 0-5 in the Freedom.
Alyssa Soltis notched a match-high 10 kills and three blocks while Leah Crimi dished out 21 assists for Alvernia.
Delaware Valley was led by Kaitlyn Olsen's six kills while Kelsey Fisher added five kills. Amy Estep and Kate Klish recorded 21 digs apiece in the loss.
