DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Cody Harman scored two goals and assisted on another, all in the first half as Misericordia University earned a 5-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference win.
The Cougars, who are eighth in the latest National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA)/adidas Middle Atlantic Region rankings, improved to 11-2 overall and 3-0 in the Freedom. The Aggies fell to 3-8-1 and 1-2.
Misericordia scored four goals in a six-minute span midway through the first half. Harman played a role in the first three as he scored with 24:32 and 20:37 remaining. He then assisted on Josh Stewart's tally just 71 seconds later. Tim Bullis made it 4-0 with 18:28 to go before halftime and Cody Hack added a second-half tally for the 5-0 final.
The Cougars held a 21-5 advantage in shots. Andrew Loyd made one save and shared the shutout with Lurae Brophy. Tristant Preece (one save), Steve Richtmyer (two saves) and Eddie Bennett (five saves) shared time in net for the Aggies.
