Salazar served as the head volleyball coach of the Aggies for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. She stepped down from that role in July 2016 due to other commitments, but has stayed on the staff as an assistant.Â
During Salazar's two years as head coach at DelVal, the team had one player named to the all-conference team. Salazar coached at a pair of Division III schools prior to coming to DelVal. In 2011, she was an assistant coach at New Jersey City University and became a head coach at Cedar Crest College one year later. In her one season at Cedar Crest, Salazar led the Falcons to a 16-15 record and earned a berth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. It was the first winning record and conference postseason spot in 11 years.
Salazar has served as a head coach at the Central Jersey Volleyball Academy since 2005. In 2010, she also became the academy’s director of player development. She led an under 15 team in 2010 to a second-place finish in an AAU Nationals Bid Tournament and a fourth-place finish in the Garden Empire Region (GEVA). In the 2010-11 season, Salazar coached the under 16 team to a number one ranking of all New Jersey teams and a second-place showing out of 82 squads in the GEVA.  Â
