Colmer joined the DelVal Men's Soccer program and Head Coach Chris Zirpoli's staff prior to the 2019 campaign as a coaching assistant while pursuing his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at the University.Â
The native of Southampton, England played his college soccer at Division I Radford Universityin Virginia where he earned a bachelor's degree in Management/Marketing in 2018. On the pich, Colmer was a four-year starter at left/center back for the Highlanders and served as team captain his junior and senior seasons. He played in 78 games and notched five goals and 22 assists in his career and his individual accolades include three COSIDA Academic All-Americans (2015, '16, 17), 2017 senior CLASS Award runner-up, two Big South Schoalr-Athlete of the Year awards ('16, '17), and in 2014, 2016, and 2017 he was named to the All-Big South First Team, All-Big South Academic Team, and the All-Tournament team. Additionaly, he was twice named an NSCAA All-South Region Third team honoree and was named to the VaSID All-State First Team in 2016 and 2017.Â
During his time at Radford, Colmer's teams posted a 50-17-11 record with three Big South regular season crowns, one Big South tournament championship and two NCAA tournament appearances.
In 2013, Colmer received his FA Level 2 coaching badge and anticipates earning his UEFA B coaching license along with his MBA from DelVal in May of 2021.Â
In Colmer's first year with the squad, the Aggies ripped off three straight overtime wins and maintained a four-game unbeaten streak, the program's best stretch since 2012. Senior Austin Daniels led the league in goals (9) and game-winning tallies (3), and finished second in points (20) on his way to an All-MAC Freedom honorable mention nod.Â
