Gallo is now in his fourth season as defensive coordinator and faceoff coach with DelVal and has been with the program since their inaugural campaign. He was also promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2017-18 academic year.
In 2017, the Aggies had the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row in Danny Smith. Smith was also an All-American candidate.
The 2016 run to a MAC Freedom semifinal berth in just the program's second year of intercollegiate play saw the Aggies' goal against average drop by more than two goals per game as Smith picked up his first MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year honor, The faceoff X was also a huge turnaround under Gallo's tutelage as Matt Tordone earned second-team all-conference accolades while helping the team to an 18 percent improvement at the X.
At DelVal, Gallo also teaches various coursers, mentoring both students and student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field. He is also the MAC Freedom's representative to the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association's (IMLCA) Assistant Coaches Committee.
Before coming to DelVal, Gallo spent three years as the top assistant at Eastern University. In his time there, the team won three Freedom championships, went to two NCAA Division III tournaments, and won their first game over a nationally-ranked opponent as they defeated No. 12 York College. Also during his time there, Gallo coached three All-Americans, two Scholar All-Americans, three Freedom Conference Players of the Year, and 39 all-conference selections.
Gallo graduated from Ursinus College in 2011 with a degree in exercise science and holds an MBA in health administration from Eastern University. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
