Nyere Miller

Miller enters his second season on the coaching sidelines for Delaware Valley College. Miller has a number of responsibilities including co-recruiting and film exchange coordinator, opponent preparation and day-to-day operations.

Miller's first year with the Aggies saw the team notch 16 wins, including a home Freedom Conference semifinal win over DeSales University. The squad reached the Freedom Championship Game and had two players earn all-conference accolades.

Miller came to DelVal after serving as head men's basketball coach and athletic director for Salem Community College in New Jersey. He guided the team to a playoff berth with a 15-13 record.

Prior to Salem Community College, Miller served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Widener University, for three seasons. Miller helped guide the Pride to two postseason berths with the team compiling an 18-8 record in his final year.

As a player, Miller was a major reason why Widener won three Commonwealth Conference titles and competed in the NCAA tournament all four years from 2006 to 2009 as his graduating class was one of the most successful and decorated in school history.  He finished second all-time with 257 steals and holds two of the top three single-season marks, including a team-record 92 in 2007-08. Miller averaged 9.1 points per game in 2008-09 after averaging a career-best 12.3 points in 2007-08.

Miller graduated from Widener with a degree in sports management in 2009. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in business administration at Delaware Valley.
