Kevin Murray

Kevin Murray joined DelVal and was named Associate Head Coach in the 2024-25 season.

Murray comes to DelVal after a five-year stint as associate head coach of men’s basketball at Cabrini University.

Murray brings more than 25 years of coaching experience. He’s also spent over 10 years coaching at Middletown High School and Red Lion Christian Academy in Delaware.

As head coach at Red Lion Christian Academy, Murray was named 2017-18 Diamond State Conference Coach of the Year. He developed the program into a top 10 team in the state in just two seasons and coached the 2017-2018 conference Player of the Year. Eight players at Red Lion earned all-conference honors under Murray.

Murray led the Lions to the state tournament in three of his four seasons and won the Diamond State Conference title in 2018. He was selected to be the head coach in the annual Delaware Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball Game that same year.

A graduate of Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia. Murray played collegiately at Penn State Abington/Ogontz and California University of Pennsylvania.

Murray has also spent over 15 years coaching AAU and travel basketball, where he specializes in developing elite level guards. Over that time, he has helped many high school student/athletes on their journey to become collegiate athletes and professionals. Many of the players Murray has trained and coached have accepted full scholarships at Universities such as Villanova, Penn State, Oregon, St. Joseph's, UNLV, South Carolina, St. Peter's, Delaware State, Delaware, Hofstra. In addition some are currently playing professionally for the Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Green Bay Packers and many other professional teams.

Murray is currently the Owner and Director of Operations for Role Model Elite Basketball.
