The 2017-18 season will be Brown's second on the sidelines for DelVal after a standout career at fellow Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) school Arcadia University. The Aggies finished the regular season in first place in the MAC Freedom and hosted a playoff game last year.
Brown started 100 of his 103 games with the Knights and served as a team captain in both his junior and senior years. He finished as the school’s all-time leader in rebounds with 691 and was second in scoring with 1,399 points. He is also on Arcadia’s top 10 career list for blocked shots (3rd – 94), 3-pointers (7th – 114), steals (8th – 124) and assists (9th – 202).
Brown received a number of accolades during his four years with the Knights. He was a three-time all-Commonwealth honoree as well as Arcadia’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2014 and Senior Male Athlete of the Year in 2015. Brown was a two-member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, a three-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll and a 2015 member of the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men’s Basketball Team.
Following his graduation in 2015 with a bachelor of arts degree in corporate communications and a minor in business, Brown joined the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters and played for their opponent. He went on a three-month domestic tour and a three-month European tour, playing in some of the best arenas in the world.
