A successful high school coach in the local area, 2017-18 marks Steinly's second year on the collegiate level with DelVal.
Steinly spent 19 years on the high school sidelines, including 11 as a head coach. He most recently was the head boy’s coach at Hatboro-Horsham High School from 2006 to 2014. The Hatters were Suburban One League Continental Conference co-champions in 2013.
Prior to that head coaching gig, Steinly spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Souderton High School, including the 2005-06 campaign that saw the squad capture the league championship.
Steinly’s coaching career began as an assistant boy’s coach at Hatboro-Horsham from 1995 to 1999 and that run including one league crown (1998). He then moved over to become the head coach of the Hatboro-Horsham girl’s team and led them from 1999 to 2002.
Steinly is still at Hatboro-Horsham High School as a social studies teacher. He lives in Franconia, Pennsylvania with his wife Stephanie and daughters Caitlin (23) and Abigal (20). Â Â
