Spangenberg joins the DelVal coaching staff in 2018 as will serve as an assistant to the wide receiver coach.

Spangenberg served as a video coordinator for Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2014 to 2017. During two of those summers, he was operations/coaching intern for the Lehigh Valley Storm, a semi-professional team. He also has experience as a video scout as an assistant coach with Southern Lehigh High School.

Spangenberg completed his bachelor of science degree in physical education and sport from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2017.
