Mike Neale

Mike Neale

Mike Neale joined the Delaware Valley football staff as Defensive coordinator on March 11, 2024 as announced by Mike Isgro. 

In his first season with the Aggies in 2024, Neale coached Jacquez Mabin who was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year, D3football.com Defensive Player of the Year, All-American Second team, and a Gagliardi Trophy semifinalist. Neale's defense ranked second in all of Division III, allowing just 220 yards per game. 

Neale is coming off as year stint as Franklin College where he served as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach and has over 16 years of DIII experience. 

Before Franklin, at Whittier College, he served as the program's head coach from 2016 until the discontinuation of the football program after the 2022 season. He handled all facets of program development, recruiting and coaching for the Poets with his team recording a program-best collective GPA at 3.18.
 
Before heading out west, Neale spent eight seasons on the staff at MAC rival Albright College from 2007-15 where he helped guide the Lions to three NCAA Division III playoff victories and three Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) bowl game appearances. He was elevated to defensive coordinator in 2012 while also handling recruiting coordinator duties along with serving as the head strength and conditioning coach.
