Another former Aggie, Rissinger is back for a sixth year with his alma mater and will continue to work with the linebackers (he did coach the defensive line in 2012).
Six members of his linebacking units picked up all-conference honors in 2010 and 2011, including 2010 MAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-American Kyle Gesswein. One lineman earned all-MAC honors in ’12 while one linebacker received a similar accolade in 2013. Rashaad Lighty was an all-conference and all-region linebacker in the NCAA qualifying season of 2014.

Rissinger transferred to Delaware Valley from Susquehanna University prior to the 2006 season. After a 26-tackle campaign, he moved into the starting lineup in 2007 and notched 25 tackles, 4.5 sacks and an interception for a touchdown. Rissinger’s senior year saw him notch 15 stops and two sacks.

Rissinger graduated with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education. He was a three-time member of the MAC All-Academic Team and a two-time member of the Philadelphia Inquirer All-Area Academic Team. Rissinger then began his coaching career as the defensive line coach at Central Bucks East High School.
