A former DelVal standout and one of the top scorers in program history, Hawthorn is in her second year as an assistant coach at her alma mater.
Hawthorn was a four-year starter and a 2013 team captain for the Aggies. She graduated as the team's fifth all-time leading goal scorer with 28 tallies and earned a spot on the 2012 all-Freedom Conference second team.
Hawthorn helped the Aggies reach the Freedom semifinals three times, including the 2013 season where the team set a school record with 13 wins. They also reached the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region semifinals.
Hawthorn was a four-time member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad. She graduated from DelVal with a degree in conservation and wildlife management.Â
