Delaware Valley University announce the hiring of Hannah Armstrong as the tenth head coach in the history of the University's field hockey program on January 7, 2025.

"We are pleased to welcome Hannah Armstrong to our Del Val Team," said Director of Athletics Dave Duda. "Hannah displayed passion, organization, and a clear vision for the future of our field hockey program during the interview process. We all look forward to working with Hannah in pursuit of achieving the goals she has laid out for the program."

Armstrong joins Delaware Valley after spending a year as an assistant coach at Albright College, where she helped build a team culture rooted in resilience and a strong work ethic. She also focused on developing student-athletes both on and off the field by conducting individual coaching sessions and implementing personalized study plans. During her time at Albright, Armstrong coached two all-conference players, Oliviah Lorah and Chelsea Johnson.

"I am both honored and excited to take on the role of Head Field Hockey Coach at Delaware Valley University," said Armstrong. "I want to express my sincere gratitude to David Duda and Carol DiGirolamo for their trust and belief in me to lead this program. I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and working alongside our student-athletes, staff, and community to achieve continued success both on and off the field. Go Aggies!"

A former standout player, Armstrong earned All-MAC Honorable Mention honors in 2022 while competing for the field hockey team at Hood College. She was also a three-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, and received the NCAA Women's Enhancement Graduate Scholarship. Armstrong earned the Hood College White Blazer Award and was named the field hockey team's MVP for the 2022 season.

Armstrong holds degrees in Political Science and Communications Arts from Hood College and a master's degree in Athletic Leadership from Albright College. Additionally, she spent her summers coaching the Southern Maryland Eliminators Club in her home state of Maryland.

The DelVal field hockey program is excited for the future under Armstrong's leadership and looks forward to the continued success of the team on the field and in the classroom.
