Clark is entering his third year on the Delaware Valley University coaching staff where he will serve as a pitching coach.
Clark was a four-year pitcher at Penn State University and earned all-Big Ten honors as a senior in 2007. He was drafted in the 14th round by the San Francisco Giants and starred in their minor league system, including the 2009 season when he was named the California League (High A) Pitcher of the Year for their San Jose affiliate. Clark went 16-2 with 135 strikeouts (including a record 10 consecutive strikeouts in one game) and a 2.86 ERA as the team won the league championship. Clark was invited to the Giants’ major league spring training camp the next year and moved into Double AA before sustaining a shoulder injury. He was in their minor league camp rehabbing his injury the next two years before being cleared to play again. He was then released by the Giants in 2012.
Clark has worked and coached at the Diamond Dreams Baseball Academy in Collegeville since 2007, the year he graduated from Penn State with a bachelor of science degree in management with a focus in communication.
