About ESports
Delaware Valley University announced in September, 2018 that it was adding co-ed Esports as an intercollegiate sport with competition beginning with the 2019 season. At that same time, Chris Shriver was named the first Head Esports Coach/Program Director in the program's history. This was followed by the hiring of Ryan McGinley as Assistant Coach for the program.

Since then, the team has secured a competition space in the Student Center on campus and outfitted it with 14 high-performance computers and all new equipment. Shriver quickly recruited a team of over 10 members of the student body that will compete in three different games under three different organizations. Those games include Overwatch, Smite, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In the Fall 2019 season, the Esports team plans to add League of Legends to its list of games.
