DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley cross country teams hosted the Aggies Open 5K to kick off the 2026 season on Friday evening. Four Aggies placed in the top three amongst the two squads.
 
The women's team came out on top, taking home the crown in a field of four with 20 points. The men's team finished fourth with 74 points.
 
Newcomer Kayana Krall finished in the gold-medal spot for the Aggies on the women's side clocking in at 21:42.8. She was followed by veterans Emma East in second (21:59.7) and Lindsay Taylor in third (22:16.8). Mariah Shatley finished out the top five for the Aggies claiming fourth at a time of 22:19.3.
 
Ayla Hashway (10^th), Samantha Swearingen (11^th), Arianna Askew (12^th), Emma Haas (13^th), Kamella Gechter (14^th) and Alannah Perkins (18^th) all finished top 20 for the Aggies with Askew recording a personal best time of 24:06.2. Elizabeth Paul rounded out the field for the Aggies finishing 28^th with a time of 33:29.7.
 
First year Gustavo Mora led the pack on the men's side placing third overall with a time of 17:20.2. Isaac Boyer and Jack Bisignano also placed top 10 with Boyer claiming 11^th overall and Bisignano 14^th with a personal best mark of 21:15.7.
 
Shane Ocampo and William Hale rounded out the field on the men's side placing 26^th and 27^th, respectively.
 
The Aggies return to action next Saturday, September 12^th at the Long Short Run hosted by Dickinson.
