WAYNE, N.J. – Delaware Valley men's golf finished second as Jack Brennan claimed the individual title at the Pioneer Spring Invitational hosted by William Paterson University.
The Aggies competed at Preakness Valley Golf Course, which played 6,322 yards with a par of 70 on Thursday.
Brennan led the field, starting one-under through four holes and adding birdies on holes 10 and 15. He shot a 35 on the front nine and a 36 on the back to finish with a 71 (+1) and take first place.
Daniel McColgan finished fifth overall with a 78 (+8). Trent Parkhurst followed with a 79 (+9), highlighted by a birdie on the 15th hole. The round marked a career best for Parkhurst, improving his previous low score by six strokes.
Patrick Taylor rounded out the team scoring with an 85 (+15).
Kevin Schaming and Mason Henne also competed, carding rounds of 87 and 88, respectively. The 88 marked a career-best round for Henne.
The Aggies return to action on Monday, April 13 at the Muhlenberg Spring Invitational at Southmoore Golf Club.
