BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Delaware Valley men's golf competed at the Northampton Cup on Tuesday.
15 teams and 78 golfers played at the Northampton Country Club, which plays 6,669 yards, holding a par of 72. Out of MAC Freedom clubs, DelVal finished 3rd, beating DeSales by two strokes. As a team, the Aggies carded a 342, good for 13th place.
Sophomore Jack Brennan led the Aggies with an 84 (+12). Finishing in 50th, Brennan had the best nine, on the back with a pair of birdies on holes ten and 16, shooting a 40.
Daniel McColgan and Trent Parkhurst tied with an 85 (+13). An 85 is Parkhurst's career-best score, while McColgan birdied the par-three fourth hole.
Patrick Taylor rounded out the team scoring for the Aggies, carding an 88 (+16). While Mason Henne birdied the 17th, his score didn't count towards the team's tally, shooting a 97 (+27).
The Aggies are off for almost a month until Monday, Oct. 20, when they will host FDU-Florham at Lookaway Golf Club.
