EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Delaware Valley men's golf team placed fifth at the 2025 MAC Freedom Championship, led by sophomore
Jack Brennan, who tied for ninth place—the highest finish among Aggie golfers.
Stevens Institute of Technology dominated the event, with all five of their golfers securing the top five spots on the leaderboard. Benjamin Slicker claimed the individual title, finishing the two-day tournament at Shawnee Golf Resort with a 141 total—three under par. The Aggies as a team carded a two-day total of 643 on the Shawnee course that played 6,582 yards with a par of 72.
Brennan's ninth-place finish earned him a spot on the All-MAC Freedom Second Team. He opened with a steady 77 on Saturday and followed with a 75 on Sunday, finishing at 152 (+8). Despite a double bogey on the first hole of his final round, Brennan was consistent the rest of the way. He was the only Aggie to birdie a hole on day two, doing so on the par-5 11th in rainy conditions.
Senior
Nick Lienhard had a standout opening round, tying his career-best with a 75 that included three birdies—all on par-5s—to lead the team on Saturday. He struggled on Sunday, posting an 86 to finish with a two-day total of 161 (+17), tied for 19th place.
