ALFRED, N.Y. – The Delaware Valley University Dressage Team opened its 2025 Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) season in winning fashion, earning High Point Team honors at Alfred University's home show on October 4.
In the First Level division, senior Abigail Hinkle set the tone for the day with a commanding first-place finish, while fellow senior Carley Sweigart followed closely with an impressive third-place ride.
At Upper Training Level, junior Paige Gatz represented the Aggies with a polished, confident performance that earned her fourth place.
The Lower Training Level continued DelVal's success, as sophomore Maggie Mitchelle secured second place and classmate Makayla Klein-Schenk added a strong sixth-place showing.
In the Introductory division, sophomore Zoe Kelter delivered a standout ride to claim first place, while junior Danica Williams rounded out the team's effort with a fifth-place finish.
Special recognition goes to Zoe Kelter, who was named High Point Rider, and to Abigail Hinkle, who earned Reserve High Point Rider honors.
The Aggies return to the ring on Saturday, October 11, when they compete at a Penn State–hosted show.
