DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley field hockey team came behind from a one-goal deficit scoring three consecutive goals to defeat the Moravian Greyhounds 3-1 on Saturday night.
Moravian found the back of the cage first just over two minutes into the first frame. Birmingham led the offensive efforts for the Aggies over the next seven and a half minutes with two solid shots that went just wide left of the cage. A penalty corner in the 10
th minute set the Aggies up in the circle missing two shots but managing to keep the ball in play in the arc.
Kaylee Hartung collected a loose ball in the middle for the pass to the left post to
Sydney Keagle for the deflection to even the score, 1-1.

rd minute put the Greyhounds in position to break the tie. 16 fired off a shot from the left side stopped by Birmingham. Three minutes later, Pagie Sammons sent the ball into the circle chased down by
Olivia Rexrode who drew the goalie out before passing left to
Alex Graffius on the left post to take the 2-1 lead.
In the 36
th minute Hartung forced the Moravian turnover dribbling down nearly 30 yards into the circle to force the corner for the Aggies. Keagle sent the ball from the goal line up to Birmingham, who hit the left post and forced a second corner resulting in a shot from Birmingham saved. The third time was the charm for the Aggies with the ball finding its way back to inserter Keagle off the stick of Graffius for the Aggies' third goal of the game.
Alyssa Rudd finished the game with seven saves off seven shots faced.
The Aggies return to action on Tuesday, Sep. 17 when they travel to face the Knights of Neumann University at 4 p.m.
