DelVal Golf Competes in the Albright Fall Invitational

NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. – The Delaware Valley golf team placed 11th of 16 at the Albright Lions Fall Invitational on Monday.

Host Albright College won the event shooting a 303 (+15) on Olde Homestead Golf Club.  MAC Freedom opponent Arcadia places second with a 307 (+19) while Marymount rounded out the top three carding a 309 (+21).

Sophomore Jack Brennan led the Aggies posting a 79 (+7) tied for 16th. Brennan birdied both par fives on the back nine. Last year he averaged an 81, one stroke back of departing senior Ethan Saxe.

Senior Greg Gipe carded an 81 (+9) and suck back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12. Gipe finished t-29. Gipe is the most experience on the 2024 roster, playing a career 28 rounds averaging an 83.
Nick Lienhard who finished 59th shot an 89 (+17). The senior capped off his round with two birdies of his own on a par 3 (17) and par 3 (18).

Lucas Baldinger rounded out the scores for the Aggies with a 90 (+18) good for t-60th out of the 80 golfers. The senior sunk a lone birdie on the 17th hole.

Mark Gates was the non-scorer for DelVal, finishing t-63, posting a 91 (+19).

The Aggies are back on the course on Monday, Sept. 16, playing in the Moravian Weyhill Classic at Saucon Valley County Club.
