DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – After trailing by nine, the Delaware Valley women's basketball team put together a 25-point fourth quarter to overcome the deficit ultimately defeating Lebanon Valley 69-56 on Saturday afternoon. The win marks the first for the Aggies against the Flying Dutchmen in series history and improves the team's record to 15-6 on the season and 6-4 in MAC Freedom play.
Trailing by 11 through the first three minutes,
Haley Keenan got the scoring going putting up six points to single-handedly cut the deficit down to four, 12-8, with 4:25 on the clock. Lebanon Valley continued its attempt to run away with the lead regaining a seven-point edge on the Aggies but a jumper from Keenan and layup from
Alexis Wright put DelVal just one three-pointer away from tying the score. The Flying Dutchmen finished the frame with three unanswered points to lead 20-14.
Maisie Neuber put up the first bucket, but a short 5-0 spurt gave LVC its largest lead of the frame, 25-16. The Aggies defense held LVC Scoreless over the next 2:41 while Keenan, Wright and
Aubrey Ennis teamed up for the 5-0 run to cut the deficit down to four, 25-21. The teams continued to trade buckets with the Flying Dutchmen eventually building their lead back up to seven, cut down to five thanks to a Neuber jumper. The Flying Dutchmen drained the final shot at the buzzer to take a 32-25 lead into the half.
Aggies defense came out strong preventing the Flying Dutchmen from scoring through the first two minutes while
Haley Keenan put together her own personal 7-0 run to tie the game for the first time, 32-32. The Flying Dutchmen managed to build back up a small advantage before Keenan found Neuber down court for the fastbreak layup to even the score yet again, 37-37. The teams knotted the score once more before

After a nearly scoreless three-minutes, the Flying Dutchmen regained a single-point advantage quickly cut short when
Jenna Schiessl drained the three to put the Aggies back in the lead, 45-43. LVC responded with a three of their own before fouling Keenan twice sending her to the line shooting 3-of-4 to put DelVal back in possession of their largest lead, 48-46. The momentum continued with Keenan getting the and one before assisting Wright with a layup to extend the lead to even, 53-46. The Aggies outscored the Dutchmen 14-4 over the next four minutes to push them to their largest lead, 67-50. LVC held a 6-2 advantage through the final minute, but the Aggies still walked away with the 69-56 victory.
