CENTER VALLEY, PA. - The Delaware Valley men's basketball team fell to No. 15 DeSales University on Saturday afternoon 76-55.
The Aggies were held scoreless through the first four minutes until Godly Marc was fouled and converted on his two throws. His brother Goddy Marc tied the game at six with a good jumper and the Aggies stretched out to a 10-6 lead thanks to Jordan Gombs with 12:45 remaining. DeSale's Devin Atkinson tied the game two minutes later at 14 aside and held the Aggies without another point for over five minutes leading 28-14. DelVal went point for point with the Bulldogs in the remaining time and went to the locker room down 34-21.
DeSales opened the second half with a 6-2 run before Kamal Johnson found Gombs for the first points from the floor. With 15 minutes remaining, Justin Ramsey-Blythe traded threes with Desales trailing by 16. The game's largest lead came with eight minutes to go with DeSales on to by 32, 65-33. Tyriq Toney-Bailey led DelVal with 11 points and Zoelin Pair led with 13 rebounds, four steals, and four blocks.
The Aggies finish the 2023-24 season with a 8-17 record going 2-12 in conference play.
