Four Aggies Score in Double-Digits in Victory over Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Delaware Valley women's basketball team dominated the first and third quarters defeat Lancaster Bible 75-61 in the Terry Greene Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

The Aggies wasted no time with Jayla Rivera and Ciana Feliciano combining to put DelVal ahead by six to start the first quarter. The Chargers were only able to cut the deficit to four over the next minute before Haley Keenan and Alexis Right combined on a small 4-0 run to expand the lead to eight, 12-4. The Aggies followed-up with a 10-6 run over the next four minutes to gain a 12-point edge, 22-10, with 2:14 to play in the quarter. The Chargers held the slight 5-2 advantage through the end of the frame to cut the deficit down to nine, 24-15.

River and Feliciano started things off strong again in the second quarter to push DelVal ahead by 13, 28-15, in the first two minutes. Momentum shifted in favor of the chargers with a 7-0 run to cut the advantage down to six, 28-22, with five minutes to play in the half. The Aggies responded with an 13-5 spurt through the final minutes to regain a double-digit lead heading into the half, 41-27.

Wright put up seven points in the Aggies' 10-4 run through the first three minutes of the second half to push DelVal to a 21-point lead, 52-31. The Chargers managed cut the lead down to 16, but the Aggies used a 12-5 run with nine points from Keenan to gain a 23-point edge, 64-41, over Lancaster Bible at the end of the third quarter.

A 4-2 run through the first two minutes of final quarter gave the Aggies their largest lead of the game, 68-43. Lancaster Bible used a 9-2 run to mount a small comeback bringing the deficit down to 18,70-52, with 3:36 left in the game. Despite a 9-5 advantage through the final minutes, the Chargers couldn't catch the Aggies' lead falling 75-61.

Four Aggies ended the night in double-figures led by Keenan with 21 points. Wright netted 20 points while adding 11 rebounds for her third double-double performance of the season. Rivera and Feliciano added 15 points each. Keenan notched double-digit steals with 10 in the game and recorded the only block for the Aggies.

DelVal is back in action on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Marywood for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
