ANNVILLE, Pa. – Delaware Valley's field hockey season came to an end with a 4-0 loss to Lebanon Valley on Saturday night.
Alyssa Rudd made consecutive saves before Lauren Foster and the Dutchmen scored ten minutes into the contest. LVC attempted three more shots on goal, with two going wide and one blocked.
Halfway through the second quarter,
Ashley Birmingham recorded the Aggies' only shot on goal, but it was saved by Ella Weidenhammer. Jillian Tait added another goal for LVC with less than three minutes remaining in the first half.
Just 53 seconds into the third quarter, Claire Weidenhammer extended LVC's lead to 3-0. Rudd remained active, making three saves during the 34th minute.
The final goal for the Dutchmen came five minutes before the end of the third quarter, scored by Claire Weidenhammer, marking her second of the night. Birmingham received a green card shortly before the end of the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Aggies had an early opportunity from a penalty corner inserted by
Sydney Keagle but were unable to capitalize.
Alex Graffius also received a green card in the closing moments.
The loss to Lebanon Valley concludes the Aggies' 2024 season, finishing with a record of 8-12 (3-4 MAC).
